Botanical Reference: Abies balsamea 
 
A miniature evergreen conifer with a flattened globose form. Bright green new growth in spring contrasts with older dark green foliage. Found in 1982 as a witch's broom at Carsten's Nursery in Germany. Prefers AM sun, PM shade in well-drained soil. 8" tall by 12" wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 4-7.
