Slow, upright deciduous dwarf. In spring leaves emerge deep green with tightly-rolled edges and slightly-hooked tips. Fall color is bright yellow. Name means "crazy/confused lion" in Japanese. Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. 3' tall x 2' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
