Kenbu Intermediate Japanese Maple  Acer palmatum
 
A small deciduous tree with an uprighty form. Pretty green lobes are deeply cut, nearly to the petiole, resembling bamboo. Fall color is orange to red. Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. 6' tall x 4' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
